Booking fee

 

A Booking fee of 10% (of the chosen photography package) secures the date, time and services of Captured By Kate and is non-refundable.

 

Please be reminded that once a wedding date is reserved all other inquiries and bookings are turned away so any potential monies and/or clients are forfeited, however in the event of a cancellation the deposit can only be returned to the client if Captured By Kate can secure another wedding on the date the wedding was sposed to occur on.

Photographer Substitution and COVID--19

 

If Kate is unable to attend your wedding for reasons  such as contracting COVID-19, injury, illness or family emergency, Kate will make reasonable efforts to find a suitable replacement photographer. Images will still be processed, edited and delivered by Kate where possible. Couples will still have the option of receiving a full refund in place of a replacement photographer if they choose to. In the unlikely event that a suitable replacement cannot be found, all payments will be returned to you.

Payments

 

Following payment of the booking fee, the total balance of fees are to be paid two weeks prior to the wedding date. In the event the Client fails to remit payment as specified, the Photographer shall have the right to immediately terminate this agreement with no further obligation, retain any monies already paid, and not attend this event.

Display and Copyright: 

 

Captured By Kate may use any images for advertising on her website and social media outlets. If using Kate’s images for any marketing or publicity purposes it is requested that credit be given to Captured By Kate. For example, If you were to share any images to a magazine or online business (and you are more than welcome to), Captured By Kate must be credited.

Confirmation: 

 

We accept the responsibility to contact Kate at least two weeks prior to the Wedding date, to confirm details are correct and provide Kate with a run sheet for the day.

 

Travel allowance: 

 

If Kate is required to travel more than 1 hr, Kate will accept an hourly rate of $50 to cover car allowance and travelling time. 

 

For a destination wedding, the costing of the airline tickets & accommodation will be in addition to the fee.

Group Photos:

 

Please appoint someone you trust to help Kate coordinate group family photos. I also suggest giving them a copy of the family members required in each photo. This support from someone helps Kate to focus on taking the photos, ensures that no family member is missing from each image and helps to facilitate a quick and smooth process. If the specified people on the list are not available to be photographed at the allocated time, it is not the photographer’s responsibility. 

 

Equipment Failure:

 

Kate will carry out this assignment with professional diligence. Elements beyond the Photographer’s control (eg. faulty material, equipment failure, damaged memory cards or weather conditions) may inhibit or prevent the Photographer completing in whole or in part this assignment. In this case Captured By Kate shall be liable and all monies will be returned to client. 

 

Delivery:

 

High-Resolution and Low-Resolution Files will be delivered within 4-5 weeks of the wedding via an online professional gallery. Kate will deliver approximately 500 images including a selection of black and white.

 

Retouching:

 

Basic retouching will be added to all images. Basic retouching includes global adjustments, (white balance, colour correction, exposure, contrast, clarity, ect.) basic skin and beauty retouching and any other things seen to be fixed by the photographer that falls into a "basic" category. What classifies in this category falls under the photographers discretion. NO additional extensive retouching will occur- this would be any body or weight changes, extensive blemishes, extensive beauty retouching etc.

 

 

Raw Footage and Image Rights

 

The photographer will provide the client with a selection of professionally edited images from the wedding day. These images will reflect the photographer’s style and artistry, showcasing the best moments captured.

Please note, raw files (unprocessed images or footage) will not be provided to the client. Raw files are unedited and represent the initial captures, which are not intended for viewing or distribution in their raw form. These images do not reflect the photographer’s final vision or the quality expected from the final deliverables. Additionally, raw files require significant post-processing, including color correction, cropping, and enhancement, which are key to achieving the photographer’s artistic standards.

By not releasing raw files, the photographer maintains control over the quality, integrity, and presentation of the final images, ensuring consistency with their brand and style. The photographer's goal is to provide the client with a curated, edited collection that reflects the beauty and emotion of their wedding day.

 

 

Coverage: 

 

Kate will provide coverage for the dates, locations and continuous hours specified in this Agreement. Additional travel or coverage hours may be added by agreement on the wedding day and must be paid in full before any photos or products are released to the Client. Every reasonable effort will be made to take requested pictures, but no specific pose or photograph can be promised. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Kate is not responsible for compromised coverage due to causes beyond her control such as other people’s camera or flash, family and bridal party members, weather conditions, schedule complications, or restrictions of the venues. Kate shall carry out this assignment with professional diligence. Other elements beyond Kate’s control include faulty material and equipment failure. 

 

 

Event Food Service: 

 

The photographer shall be entitled to be provided with a meal for events of 6 hours or longer. If no meal is provided, the Photographer shall be entitled to leave the event to purchase a meal.
